Gloucestershire - Finest County of England?

Okay, what's so great about the county of Gloucestershire? What makes it so special, apart from taxes, so that other counties of England?

Okay, I admit it - I'm biased. Why? Because I've lived all my 30 years so far in Gloucestershire. Actually, I lived my whole life in the city. I have been in other places, but I've always felt is my true home to Gloucestershire.

Geographically Gloucestershire has three different areas:Cotswold Hills, the Severn Vale and Forest of Dean.

The Cotswolds

For me, this is the best part of Gloucestershire. I myself live on the edge of the Cotswolds in the picturesque historic market town. This part of Gloucestershire is great because there are many scattered small towns and villages, and there are many small hills and valleys, and many small winding roads. It's all very postcard, all very picturesque andnice.

Severn Vale

This is the flat land near the River Severn, the longest river in Britain. It is a tidal river, and sometimes there is a wave that sweeps called Severn Bore 25 miles River. During his mouth, the river Severn has the second largest tidal range in the world, the first of the Bay of Fundy in Canada.

The Forest of Dean

The Forest of Dean is located west of the River Severn. The people theredifferent for the rest of Gloucestershire, there is separated from the river and also because it so close to Wales. The Forest of Dean has many specific local laws for the forest, including the right that someone is born in the forest legally entitled to own pit.

Cheltenham & Gloucester

It is also worth mentioning, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Gloucester is a city and the county of Gloucestershire. Its main feature is the port area, thecurrently receives a little bit "of the makeover. Closer to the Gloucester and Cheltenham, which is the largest town in Gloucestershire, though not a city. Cheltenham is better than Gloucester. Ask anyone.
