Visit Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam attracts more than eight million visitors per year. The dam, built between the years 1931 and 1936, was the largest structure of this type of construction. The dam was by the BBC in 2009, featured as one of the seven wonders of the industrial world. The dam is now over seventy. Although not even in the top 30 of the largest hydroelectric power plants in the world, remains an impressive site as a masterpiece of technology, and a great area to exploreVisitors.

The Hoover Dam is thirty miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, on the border between Nevada and Arizona. The dam impounds the Colorado River forms Lake Mead, the largest reserves in the United States. Part of the popularity of the dam is due to its location in Las Vegas, one of the most visited cities in the United States, the statement as "Entertainment Capital of the World."
