Chicago is now known as the "Windy City.
But it was a few years ago, which was known as "Slaughter House in the world" and in the slaughterhouses was proud to be beside the sea.
This devotion to all things meaty and delicious is now expressed in these four delicious hamburgers. Some of them are fancy expensive restaurants - some are from the Joint Center. All of them are exactly what should be a burger - big, meaty, juicy and absolutely delicious.
AndNone of them has a "Mc" before their name.
In no particular order:
1. Top Fillet Burger at Prairie Grass Cafe.
Recently selected as the No. 1 Burger in Chicago by Jeff Ruby to Chicago Magazine is, this piece of meat on the grill first simply amazing. After the meat is grilled to perfection, a generous portion of Amish Blue Cheese and melted up a few slices of tomatoes and onions are tossed on the grill. The whole creation is a thing of beauty and of absolutedelicious.
Prairie Grass Cafe is located on 601 Skokie Blvd in Northbrook. The hamburger is $ 15 and worth every penny.
2. Kuma burger at Kuma's Corner
Perhaps the most famous "Burger Joint" in Chicago Kuma's Corner is not disappointed, despite the accumulation. We can assume a long wait and punk music at full volume - but believe me, the hamburger is worth it. The menu has begun to incorporate many creative additions recently, but the Kuma burger is still on top. Ten ounces cheddar cheese,Applewood-bacon and a sunny-side-up egg on a thick roll is also well worth the occasional broken eardrum.
Angle Kuma is at 2900 W. Belmont Ave and the monster of protein is $ 10.
3. The meatballs Deluxe Top Notch Burgers
This shabby little dinner in Beverly is not a place that you might never discover by chance. But meatballs to make a special trip. As the name suggests the meat of the Star is here and the meat mallet 1 / 2 is rich, juicy ... and only $ 7.25.
Find TopNotch Burger at 2116 W. 95 St.
4. Wagyu beef burger in Yoshi's Cafe
By Top Notch Maybe you want something a little "more sophisticated and closer to the center. I just held. Marbled Wagyu beef is a beauty of Patti. And at 10 ounces, there are plenty of burgers to enjoy them. This is simply the biggest burger in Chicago. But it is tender and melt in your mouth delicious.
