Enjoy Free Shows and Fun at Historical Fremont Street Experience

Many people tend to immediately think of the highly populated strip when planning to visit Las Vegas but the action doesn't stop there.  Fremont Street is actually the location of the first hotel in Sin City and should be a instant location added to your list of things to do and see in Las Vegas.  Getting there from the strip is just a bus or taxi cab away so make sure to visit this historical area on your next vacation to really see where it all began.

Fremont Street is located in the downtown Las Vegas area and hosts the Fremont Street Experience, or FSE, a world renowned entertainment and pedestrian mall. The FSE is actually all contained under a lighted canopy that stretches around 5 blocks. This isn't just any old canopy, it contains more than 12 million LED lamps to light up its existence and is the location of attractions such as the free nightly light and sound shows for your entertainment pleasure.  Kids and teenagers will surely enjoy seeing the lights in the sky!

These free shows take place each night at dusk and there is usually a variety of different shows to see. Some of the most popular shows include the Lucky Vegas show and American Freedom. For more free fun in, FSE is also a great place to view free concerts on one of the two sound stages available. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants located on the pedestrian mall to keep you busy for hours.

Fremont Street is also the location of some very popular hotels such as Golden Nugget, Four Queens Hotel, and Binions Gambling Hall just a few.  If you're looking for classic old town Vegas or what many consider a true Las Vegas experience, make sure to visit the historical Fremont Street area.
